Strip steak with porcini mushroom rub
I am proud to say I finally put the porcini mushroom steak rub I scored at Capital Grille event to good use, and used balsamic reduction to decorate the plate without it looking like a disaster.
The dressing on the chopped salad dressing is the old “1905” recipe from Columbia Restaurant — garlicky goodness in a white wine vinaigrette (the usual ham and Swiss shreds in the 1905 are not required, in this case). Instead, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and a few whole wheat rotini noodles tossed in for good measure.
Wine pairing: Pinot noir
Holler!
