This Food Club loves some Thai Ruby. This place has great lunch specials and pleasantly spicy food.
Some of the spicier menu options can get hot, be warned. For several of us, we end up doctoring the food a bit more with the fantastic little spice tray. We like the pain. With this visit to Thai Ruby, some Food Clubbers overdid it with said spice tray and had sniffles / forehead sweats. Truly, this is a sign of proper spiciness.
If you do venture to North Tampa to visit this gem, take advantage of their lunch specials. It comes with soup, salad, a main course and a lovely little fried doughnut thingie. With most options falling around $10, it’s a good value.
While everything I’ve had at Thai Ruby has been tasty, I highly recommend the Fried Grouper Orange Curry. Be sure to throw in a Sweet Thai Tea…yummy.
