I got super reggae the other night. I whipped up these patties along with some rice & peas, sweet plantains and cabbage.

The patties were amazing, but the rice & peas dish was amazing (and far-more complicated than I could have imagined). The outcome was tasty.

Fever Tree ginger beer is amazing. Very spicy and refreshing.

Quinoa Burgers
I’m currently crazy for quinoa. I love it in every form! Today I made some burger patties with quinoa, hummus, garlic, onion, cumin and wheat flour. I’ll be doing this again very soon!

Eden’s blueberry honey is tasty. Pick some up. Put it on everything. It’s season so don’t sleep on it. It’s lovely stuff.

Oatcakes are generally not exciting. They are usually cardboard-like and taste like they are supposed to be good for you.

Effie’s homemade oatcakes are a different story. These tasty, oaty rectangles are fantastic. They go well with anything sweet or savoury. I simply top these little things with blueberry honey and chow down.

Pick some up at your nearest hippie food mart. Such a simple and tasty treat.

We popped by the Bayshore Market in Tampa (lovely place) and picked up some Chow Chow and a ton of other bits.

This chow chow is like some sort of pickle relish. It’s yummy.

Pop by Bayshore Market and pick up some plants, fresh veggies, strange canned goods, hippie soap or even a mikes pie. Their olive dip is ace!

Go south on Bayshore and it’s on the right past Gandy. They’re lovely people.

Home-cooked meals are the best. Lots of veggies in this dish. I immediately slipped into a good coma, a sure sign of a good meal.

The Stein & Vine in Brandon is a solid establishment. Lots of great beers in Tampa and the food is not bad as well.

Try the pig wings (woa). Drink a few Sharkinator beers while you are at it.
