Tara’s Roti Shop

With much convincing, Food Club went to experience the magic of Tara’s Roti Shop.

We had spotted Tara’s place many times, but had never given it a proper shot. It’s easy to overlook the lack of curb appeal and general interior ambiance when the food it as good as this. The Roti’s are delicious.

Never had a Roti, you say?! Take some spicy curry, wrap a huge pillow-y burrito-like thing (the roti) around the filling and stuff in into your face. Prepare for a food coma. I am not doing it justice, but it’s tasty nonetheless.

Just a note about Tara: ask her for her recommendation and she will quickly reply without hesitation “everything.” She makes everything her way and it is all tasty. This woman is hilarious.

So for a little culinary adventure, pop by Tara’s for a Roti. It’s awesome.

Torchy’s Taco’s

I do love Mexican food. Torchy’s Tacos was an impressive taco chain with some massively tasty food. The guac was awesome, the tacos were a flavourful explosion and the fountain drinks were fun. The tacos featured above were all delicious. One even had Fried Avacado…brilliant.

If I were to live in Austin, or anywhere in Texas, I would eat here frequently.

Oishii Burger

Oishii Burger is one of few edible restaurants in the Central Florida area. Most of the area is riddled with chain restaurants and cheap buffet food with early bird specials.

However, Oishii was an incredible treat. Their signature burger was freaking delicious - beef patty, cheese, saute’d onions & peppers & mushrooms and some kind of delicious sauce…oh & that bun is some sort Amish-baked bread…I wasn’t really paying attention when it was being explained to me. I was too busy stuffing my face with this delicious burger. The fries were ace as well. I can’t wait to go back for round two.

Trader Joe’s makes some seriously tasty stuff. Part of me, wants a Trader Joe’s in Tampa, while another corner of my mind is happy their tasty devil cookies are not within driving distance.

UPDATE: I hear that Trader Joe’s is actually coming to S. Tampa. I’m not sure I can handle being in close proximity to these evil treats.
